Mia Darrow Cohen graduated Suma Cum Laude from the Macaulay Honors College, CUNY with a BA in Neuroscience and Psychology. She is currently working on her MSW and CASAC at the University at Buffalo, SUNY where she is focusing on clinical skills for treating substance use disorders (SUDs) and comorbid mental health challenges. She uses a collaborative approach that incorporates Motivational Interviewing, DBT, psychoeducation and mindfulness. She works through a strengths-based lens to support her patients in creating the changes they seek.
Prior to Wholeview, Mia worked as a mental health and executive functioning coach as well as a meditation teacher. She provided support and encouragement to clients with a wide range of needs. She especially enjoys working with people to provide meditation and grounding tools for emotional regulation and better sleep.
